We all waste electricity-we leave lights on, put on lights when we don’t need them and keep computers running but how is electricity made? Coal is burned to heat up water and create steam which then turns a turbine creating electricity but is wasting it a problem? Yes burning coal releases co2 witch traps heat and warms up the earth but this isn't a small problem its huge because everyone's wasting electricity and more electricity is made meaning more co2

We waste millions of tonnes of food each year
-wait hold-up one second why is that here ? Shouldn’t there be water problems or something here? Well actually food is to do water it takes water grow a single vegetable in fact it takes several gallons so if we are wasting 8.3 million tonnes of food a year how many litres do we waste? The amount of fresh water we have is limited and is used in many things electricity, farming and every day use for example

There's lots of ways we can stop wasting some you've probably heard before the like the 3 R’s-Reduce ,Reuse and Recycle where as others are not so common like eat your brussel sprouts

One, repair-stuff most things get tossed in to the bin when they get broken but really we should try to repair them and continue to use it
Two, recycle-you would be surprised how much we waste a year. By recycling we can dramatically cut down on the amount
Three, re-use-sometimes instead of throwing something away or recycling it you can make masks from cereal boxes or make a hat from that old bowl
Four, reduce-do you need it or want it? Ask yourself that as you reach for the latest game or new chewing gum
Five, eat your brussel sprouts-8.3 million tonnes of food is thrown away every year by households and think about the water used to grow the food to make the fertiliser also co2 when transporting keeping it the right temperature
6, print double sided-when you print double sided you reduce paper usage by ½ and so the water needed for the trees grow is reduced by ½
7, buy in bulk-think about it 1 big box or lots of small boxes the size of a big one the packaging in the middle is useless also you tend to get a discount
